Net sales had risen from 2012 to 2013 but the net income of Apple was low. Apple experienced a growth of 9% in net sales ($14.4 Billion) during this period which was primarily a result of growth in net sales of iPhone; iTunes, Software and Services and Ipad. Again in 2014, net sales of Iphone increased due to the release of Iphone 5s and Iphone 5c in later half of 2013. The release of Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 Plus in fourth quarter of 2014 led to increased sales, higher revenue and net income. Apple's net income from 2008 to 2017 has varied between 6 billion dollars and 53 billion dollars. It was at its peak in 2015 when it slid down in 2016 and again rose in 2017 to past 48 billion dollars. The rise in net income in 2015 was mainly a result of the increased I-phone sales after the release of I-phone 6 and I-phone 6 Plus in 2014. Sales of Iphone again fell in 2016 and weakened foreign currencies relative to the US dollar also led to lower net income. The rise in sales of Apple services partially offset this effect in 2016. In 2017, Apple experienced growing sales of Mac, Iphone and services which led to higher income. Apart from Greater China, rising sales activity was evident in most geographical regions.
