The following table shows the number of active buyers (in millions)on E-bay 2005-2017.

2017 was a significant year for E-bay when it launched a new marketing campaign and invested in making its business platform more suitable for its buyers. The number of active buyers on the E-bay platform has increased fast during the recent years.  An active buyer in the context of E-bay means buyers who have successfully closed a transaction on E-bay marketplace or StubHub platform during the last 1 year. At the end of 2017, Ebay marketplace and StubHub platforms had more than 170 million active buyers. This number was 3 millions higher than previous year. In 2015 and 2016, the number of Ebay Active Buyers was 162 and 167 Millions respectively.
