The Hyundai Motor company was started in 1967 by Chung Ju Yung to start building Cortina in Korea in a  partnership with Ford. In less than 50 years, it became the fifth largest car company of the world. Today, it owns the world's biggest car plant in South Korea and also the world's most modern car plant in Czech Republic.
