Inditex has expanded fast in the recent years through both online and physical channels. It is headquartered at Arteixo, A Coruña, Spain. The company is selling in 96 markets through its several brands. Its flagship brand is ZARA with the highest number of retail stores globally. Market expansion has led to growth in the size of its human capital as well. The number of employees working for Inditex grew from 162,450 in 2016 to 171, 839 in 2017. Management of human resources is an important focus at Inditex. While its staff size has increased a lot in the recent years, the brand is now extremely cautious about their management and training.

Apart from investing in IT and other areas for better HRM, the brand is focusing on performance management through innovative training modules designed especially keeping the education needs of its human capital in mind. Its personnel costs increased to 3.96 Billion euros in 2017. In terms of gender balance in its workforce, the brand has managed an excellent ratio. Its 75% workforce is composed of female workers, whereas 25% of male workers. In case of ZARA, this ratio is 74:26. For the seventh consecutive year, Inditex has been recognised as the best employer in entire Spain by Merco Talento. Researches carried out by Merco Talento and Universum show that year by year, the position of Inditex as an employer has continued to improve.

Inditex is a fast expanding fashion brand. The largest and the leading fashion of the world brand has eight brands in its portfolio - ZARA, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe.  The success of Inditex can be attributed to its integrated business model and its well managed supply chain as well as its passion for creativity. It has grown its retail network vastly in the recent years. Apart from its 7475 retail stores in 96 markets, the brand is selling globally in 47 markets through its online channels.  In 2017, it rolled out its e-commerce platform in key markets in Asia.  ZARA accounts for the largest part of Inditex's revenue and is the oldest brand in its portfolio.
