In the recent years, Lenovo's revenue from China has seen a  slow and gradual decline. It was highest in the fiscal year 2013-14 at 14.73 Billion dollars. In fiscal 2017-18, its revenue has come down to 11.53 Billion US dollars from 11.8 Billion US dollars in fiscal 2016-17.

Lenovo is a leading brand of desktop PCs, notebooks and smartphones. Last year, it was the largest brand of PCs based on the number of shipments as per reports published by IDC & Gartner. While Lenovo has maintained its leadership status in PCs and tablets, it is also working on growing its presence in emerging technologies. The CEO of Lenovo is Yang Yuanqing.  China is the largest market for Lenovo products accounting for around 25% of its entire revenue in 2017-18. Apart from China, the other three geographic segments of Lenovo are Americas (AG), Asia Pacific (AP) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). Its business is divided into three major reportable segments that include -

 PC AND SMART DEVICE BUSINESS GROUP (PCSD), DATA CENTER BUSINESS GROUP (DCG) and MOBILE BUSINESS GROUP (MBG).

The PCSD group is the largest reportable segment accounting for more than 70% of Lenovo's revenue for fiscal 2017-18.
