Personal Computing is one of the three largest reportable segments of Microsoft accounting for more than 38% of the brand's entire revenue in 2018. Compared to 2017, Microsoft's revenue from Personal computing increased $3.0 billion or 8% in 2018. Personal computing revenue grew mainly driven by growth in Windows, gaming, search advertising, surface and phone revenue. Personal computing revenue of Microsoft for 2018 was $42.3 Billion, compared to $39.3 Billion the previous year.
