BMW has focused on electrification of its models and established a clear roadmap for itself to 2025. The sales of electrical models made by BMW rose by around 65% in 2017. IN 2016, their sales was 62,255 units. It increased to 103,080 in 2017. BMW is planning to increase the sales of its electrical vehicles in 2018 by around 40%. A battery  electric MINI will be available in 2019 and a BMW X3, a full electric model by BMW by 2020 .
